Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
On the 5th (Tue), get to know the fascinating history of Albuquerque Old Town. On the 6th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get interesting insight from Tours, then examine the collection at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and then get curious at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque.

Las Vegas to Albuquerque is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Las Vegas to Albuquerque, you'll lose 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Las Vegas in December, things will get a bit cooler in Albuquerque: highs are around 48°F and lows about 27°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) so you can drive to Taos.

Many residents have shunned fast-paced city living for Taos's laid-back vibe and blend of Spanish, Native American, and Anglo cultures.
On the 7th (Thu), don't miss a visit to Taos Plaza, explore the ancient world of Taos Pueblo, and then snap pictures at Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. Keep things going the next day: take a memorable drive along High Road to Taos and then pause for some photo ops at Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Getting from Albuquerque to Taos by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a shuttle; or do a combination of flight and car. Expect slightly colder temperatures when traveling from Albuquerque in December; daily highs in Taos reach 38°F and lows reach 11°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Fri) so you can drive to Santa Fe.

Santa Fe continuously ranks among the world's top holiday destinations, attracting visitors with its unusual combination of scenic beauty, rich history, cultural diversity, and high concentration of performing arts venues, fine restaurants, and interesting attractions.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Sat): pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Loretto Chapel, admire the masterpieces at Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, examine the collection at New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors, then look for gifts at Davis Mather Folk Art Gallery, and finally cruise along The Plaza. Keep things going the next day: explore the striking landscape at Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, see the interesting displays at Museum of International Folk Art, and then get to know the fascinating history of Canyon Road.

Traveling by car from Taos to Santa Fe takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Taos in December since evenings lows in Santa Fe dip to 20°F. On the 11th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City, known to many as the "Big Friendly," represents the political, cultural, and economic engine of the state of Oklahoma.
Take a break from Oklahoma City with a short trip to Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, about 34 minutes away. There's much more to do: pause for some photo ops at Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, make a trip to Paseo Arts Association, stroll through Oklahoma City Zoo, and admire the natural beauty at Myriad Botanical Gardens.
