Head to Fifth Avenue and Kalustyan'sfor some retail therapy. Popular historic sites such as 9/11 Memorial and Gateway National Recreation are in your itinerary. Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Thu): get engrossed in the history at Photo Antiquities Museum of Photographic History, explore and take pictures at PNC Park, then examine the collection at Bicycle Heaven, and finally stroll through Phipps Conservatory. On the 25th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: browse the different shops at Ross Park Mall, do a tasting at La Casa Narcisi Winery, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Washington.

The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
Step out of the city life by going to Antietam National Battlefield and Old Rag Mountain Hike. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at National Air and Space Museum and National Gallery of Art. There's much more to do: explore the activities along Tidal Basin, see the interesting displays at United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, appreciate the extensive heritage of Tomb of the Unknowns, and get a sense of history and politics at The White House.
