A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Thu): take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount LeConte.

Traveling by combination of bus, flight, and taxi from New York City to Pigeon Forge takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. While traveling from New York City, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Pigeon Forge, ranging from highs of 25°C to lows of 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) so you can travel to Atlanta.

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Centennial Olympic Park, contemplate the long history of Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Reynolds Nature Preserve.

The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
On the 9th (Mon), pause for some photo ops at National Civil Rights Museum, then contemplate the long history of Sun Studio., and then don't miss a visit to Graceland. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 10th (Tue): look for gifts at Dinstuhl's Fine Candies, get to know the fascinating history of Beale Street, and then explore the world behind art at Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art.

Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
Popular historic sites such as Garden District and St. Louis Cathedral are in your itinerary. Do some cultural sightseeing at French Quarter and Royal Street.
