Rich in museums, restaurants, shops, and historical sites, Boston attracts over 16 million visitors each year. New England's largest and most influential city, Boston ranks among the world's major centers of education and culture.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Long Point and Ogunquit Beach. Popular historic sites such as Cliff Walk and Cape Neddick Nubble Lighthouse are in your itinerary. Explore Boston's surroundings by going to Provincetown (Commercial Street & Race Point Beach) and The Breakers (in Newport). Spend the 8th (Sun) traversing land and water with a duck tour. Step off the beaten path and head to Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Let the collections at National Gallery of Art and Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center capture your imagination. Get out of town with these interesting Washington DC side-trips: Skyline Drive (in Shenandoah National Park), Oriole Park at Camden Yards (in Baltimore) and George Washington's Mount Vernon (in Mount Vernon). Visit Ponquogue Beach and Cupsogue Beach County Park for some beach relaxation. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Jenkinson's Boardwalk and Belmar Beach.
