Divided into neighborhoods with distinct characters and cultural heritages, San Diego sits just north of the Mexican border and offers visitors a blend of tourist attractions, including a lively nightlife, diverse cuisine, and a thriving musical scene.
Visiting La Jolla Cove and Mission Beach Park will get you outdoors. Visit Black's Beach and La Jolla Shores Park for some beach relaxation. Step out of San Diego to go to Encinitas and see Self-Realization Fellowship Hermitage, which is approximately 32 minutes away. A famed resort town since the early 20th century, Santa Monica sits on the picturesque Santa Monica Bay, bordered on three sides by the city of Los Angeles.
Relax by the water at Venice Beach and Boardwalk and Hermosa Beach Pier. Get outdoors at Will Rogers State Beach and Santa Monica Beach. And it doesn't end there: stroll through Santa Monica Bay, get to know the fascinating history of Venice Canals Walkway, examine the collection at Getty Center The Publications, and enjoy the sand and surf at Manhattan Beach.

Carmel-by-the-Sea, often simply referred to as Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916. Start off your visit on the 15th (Wed): tour the pleasant surroundings at Asilomar State Beach and then steep yourself in history at Pacific Biological Laboratories. On your second day here, enjoy the sand and surf at Carmel City Beach/Carmel River Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Point Lobos State Reserve, and then stop by The Cheese Shop.

You can do a combination of bus, flight, and taxi from Santa Monica to Carmel in 3.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of tram, train, and bus. Traveling from Santa Monica in November, things will get a bit cooler in Carmel: highs are around 21°C and lows about 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Yosemite National Park.

Massive granite mountains, towering waterfalls, groves of Giant Sequoia trees, and wilderness as far as the eye can see distinguish the landscape of Yosemite National Park.
