Utica

Utica is a small rural unincorporated community approximately 10mi south of Owensboro, Kentucky, near the border of Daviess, Ohio, and Mclean Counties. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Utica: Swope's Cars of Yesteryear Museum (in Elizabethtown), Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Site (in Hodgenville) and Kentucky Railway Museum (in New Haven). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 14th (Sat) at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari. Spend the 23rd (Mon) exploring nature at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. There's lots more to do: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Maker's Mark Distillery, Inc, identify plant and animal life at Garden of the Gods, Head underground at Mammoth Cave National Park, and find something for the whole family at Beech Bend Park.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major airports are Louisville International Standiford Field, Nashville International Airport and Blue Grass Airport. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in October, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
