Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
You'll get in some beach time at Jenkinson's Boardwalk and Ocean Grove Beach. Step off the beaten path and head to Belmar Beach and Chelsea Market. You'll find plenty of places to visit near New York City: House of Candles (in Henryville) and Bushkill Falls (in Bushkill). There's still lots to do: explore the world behind art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, take a stroll through Times Square, get a taste of the local shopping with Fifth Avenue, and pause for some photo ops at 9/11 Memorial.
