Escalante is a city in Garfield County, Utah, United States located along Utah Scenic Byway 12 in the south central part of the state. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Lone Rock Beach and Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. Attractions like Capitol Reef National Park and Nature & Wildlife Tours make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Bryce Canyon National Park (Thor's Hammer, Navajo/Queens Garden Loop, & more), Eagle Point Ski Resort (in Beaver) and Glen Canyon Dam (in Tonalea Coconino County). Spend the 27th (Fri) exploring nature at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic scenery at Calf Creek Falls Recreation Area, take in the dramatic natural features at Peekaboo Gulch, take in breathtaking views at Lower Antelope Canyon, and get engrossed in the history at John Wesley Powell Museum.
