Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Royal Street and Faulkner House Books. The National WWII Museum and Mardi Gras World will appeal to museum buffs. And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through French Quarter, shop like a local with Magazine Street, stroll through New Orleans City Park, and see the interesting displays at New Orleans Museum of Art.
