Head to Eastern Market and Politics and Prosefor some retail therapy. Get some cultural insight at National Air and Space Museum and National Gallery of Art. There's lots more to do: get a new perspective on nature at Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, pause for some photo ops at Lincoln Memorial, get engrossed in the history at United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Washington National Cathedral.

Traveling by train from Baltimore to Washington DC takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Baltimore in July, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Washington DC, with lows of 27°C. One of the country's favorite vacation resorts, Ocean City draws nearly 8 million visitors annually with its oceanfront boardwalk, clean beaches, and amusement parks.
Do your shopping at Wildwood Boardwalk and West End Garage. Step out of the city life by going to Ocean City Beach and 48th St. Watersports. Take a break from Ocean City with a short trip to Cape May City Beaches in Cape May, about 1h 15 min away. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Assateague Beach, examine the collection at Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum, and take in the waterfront at Ocean City Boardwalk.

Getting from Washington DC to Ocean City by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train and shuttle. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Washington DC in July, with highs in Ocean City at 34°C and lows at 24°C. We've included these beaches for you: Virginia Beach and Sandbridge Beach. Get some historical perspective at Colonial Williamsburg and Cape Henry Lighthouse. When in Virginia Beach, make a side trip to see Yankee Candle Company in Williamsburg, approximately 1h 25 min away.
