Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
Bring the kids along to Jackson Square and Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. There's lots more to do: brush up on your military savvy at The National WWII Museum, appreciate the extensive heritage of French Quarter, take a stroll through Royal Street, and stroll through New Orleans City Park.

Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sat): see the interesting displays at World of Coca-Cola, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Georgia Aquarium, and then find something for the whole family at SkyView Atlanta.

Known as the capital of country music, the thriving city of Nashville combines old-world southern charm with a progressive urban flair.
Step out of Nashville to go to Franklin and see Lotz House Museum, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, contemplate the long history of Belle Meade Plantation, take a stroll through Downtown Nashville, and take in nature's colorful creations at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
When in Memphis, make a side trip to see Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, approximately 44 minutes away. The adventure continues: make a trip to Graceland, look for gifts at Saint Blues Guitar Workshop, contemplate the long history of Sun Studio., and get to know the fascinating history of Beale Street.
