Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like The Strip and The Mob Museum. Get in touch with nature at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and Adrenaline & Extreme Tours. Step out of Las Vegas to go to Boulder City and see Hoover Dam, which is approximately 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, buy something for everyone on your list at The Grand Canal Shoppes, admire the natural beauty at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, and make a trip to Bellagio Fountains.

Melbourne, Australia to Las Vegas is an approximately 21-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. The time zone changes from Australian Eastern Standard Time (Victoria) (AEST) to Pacific Standard Time (PST), which is usually a -18 hour difference. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Mon): identify plant and animal life at Trinity River Audubon Center, then examine the collection at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, and then don't miss a visit to Top O' Hill Terrace.

Visiting Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats will get you outdoors. For shopping fun, head to The San Antonio River Walk or Tower of the Americas.
