On the 7th (Thu), browse the exhibits of U.S. Naval Academy, appreciate the extensive heritage of Capitol Hill, and then examine the collection at Smithsonian Institution Building. On the next day, get to know the fascinating history of Tomb of the Unknowns, then take a stroll through Old Town, then examine the collection at The National Archives Museum, and finally explore the world behind art at National Portrait Gallery.

Known internationally as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington boasts a thriving economy resting largely on its thoroughbred racehorse industry.
Step off the beaten path and head to Kentucky Horse Park and Maker's Mark. Explore Lexington's surroundings by going to Ark Encounter (in Williamstown), Woodford Reserve Distillery (in Versailles) and Buffalo Trace Distillery (in Frankfort). There's more to do: try your luck at Keeneland.
