Montauk is a census-designated place (CDP) that includes the hamlet with the same name located in the town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, on the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. Beavertail Lighthouse and Park and Montauk Point Lighthouse are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at Charlestown Town Beach and Norman Bird Sanctuary. When in Montauk, make a side trip to see Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton, approximately 36 minutes away.
