Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
You'll get in some beach time at South Beach and Haulover Beach Park. Shop till you drop at Lincoln Road and Bayside Marketplace. Venture out of the city with trips to Shark Valley (in Everglades National Park) and Aventura Mall (in Aventura). There's lots more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Art Deco Historic District, contemplate the long history of The Barnacle Historic State Park, see the interesting displays at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, and get a taste of the local shopping with Bal Harbour Shops.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Get some cultural insight at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and Key West Cemetery. Take a break from the city and head to Fort Zachary Taylor and Kayaking & Canoeing. Spend the 14th (Mon) exploring nature at Dry Tortugas National Park. And it doesn't end there: look for all kinds of wild species at Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, browse the exhibits of Truman Little White House, and admire the natural beauty at Audubon House & Tropical Gardens.

Drive from Big Pine Key to Key West in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or take a bus. In May, daytime highs in Key West are 34°C, while nighttime lows are 29°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Tue) so you can travel to Clearwater.

Holding the record for most consecutive days of sunshine in a single year, Clearwater offers long sandy beaches and proximity to other major cities in the Tampa Bay area.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Tue): learn about winemaking at Aspirations Winery and then kick back and relax at Clearwater Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 16th (Wed): kick back and relax at Sunset Beach and then head off the coast to Caladesi Island State Park.

You can do a combination of flight and taxi from Key West to Clearwater in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and bus.
