Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Fri): contemplate the long history of Centennial Olympic Park. Keep things going the next day: explore the world behind art at Center for Civil and Human Rights, then browse the different shops at Mall of Georgia, and then browse the different shops at Lenox Square.

Newcastle upon Tyne, UK to Atlanta is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. A rapidly growing city in central North Carolina, Charlotte is the state's largest urban center and a major regional hub for finance, industry, technology, and entertainment.
Get a sense of the local culture at Old Salem Museums & Gardens and Brattonsville Historic District. Head to Birkdale Village and Concord Millsfor some retail therapy. There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Billy Graham Library, explore and take pictures at Bank of America Stadium, have fun and explore at Discovery Place Science, and meet the residents at SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord Aquarium.

Getting from Atlanta to Charlotte by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Atlanta in September, expect little chillier with lows of 19°C in Charlotte. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Thu) early enough to travel to Savannah.

Savannah is the oldest city in the U.S.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Fri): tour the pleasant surroundings at Coligny Beach, then take a stroll through Savannah Historic District, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Mickve Israel Temple. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, then stroll through Forsyth Park, then stroll the grounds of Bonaventure Cemetery, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Tybee Island Beach.

You can do a combination of flight and taxi from Charlotte to Savannah in 3 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Savannah when traveling from Charlotte in September, with lows around 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Sun) early enough to drive to Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the east coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. Get some historical perspective at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area and Airlie Gardens. Head to Broadway at the Beach and Gay Dolphin Gift Covefor plenty of shopping. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Myrtle Beach: Litchfield Beach (in Pawleys Island) and Murrells Inlet (Brookgreen Gardens & Blackmoor Golf Club). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Myrtle Beach, stop by PURPLEologist, make a trip to Barefoot Landing, and take in the waterfront at Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade.

Getting from Savannah to Myrtle Beach by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of taxi and flight; or do a combination of bus and car. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in September, and nighttime lows around 23°C. On the 28th (Fri), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
