Kick off your visit on the 31st (Tue): pause for some photo ops at Vietnam Veterans Memorial, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Arlington National Cemetery, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Tomb of the Unknowns, and finally wander the streets of Old Town.
