Named after a nearby scenic gorge famous for its steep sandstone formations, Wisconsin Dells features more than 20 water parks, making it one of the most popular vacation areas in this region.
On the 5th (Tue), meet the residents at Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue and then admire the majestic nature at Devil's Lake State Park. On your second day here, tour the pleasant surroundings at Wisconsin Deer Park, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.

Although Badlands National Park's name might not be the most inviting, its landscape of pinnacles, eroded buttes, spires, and an expansive, pristine mixed-grass prairie remain enticing.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Door Trail and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site. Get in touch with nature at Roberts Prairie Dog Town and Badlands Wall. Step out of the city life by going to Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Wildlife Loop Road.
