Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Shop till you drop at Bathhouse Soapery and Coleman's Rock Shop & Crystal. Take a break from the city and head to Pinnacle Mountain State Park and DeGray Lake Resort State Park. Go for a jaunt from Hot Springs to Little Rock to see Heifer Village about 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Fordyce Bathhouse (Vistor Center), delve into the lush surroundings at Ouachita National Forest, do a tasting at Winery of Hot Springs, and sample the fine beverages at Superior Bathhouse Brewery and Distillery.

Known as the capital of country music, the thriving city of Nashville combines old-world southern charm with a progressive urban flair.
Get in touch with nature at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and Short Springs Natural Area. Get a sense of the local culture at Downtown Nashville and Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Venture out of the city with trips to Arrington Vineyards (in Arrington) and George Dickel Distillery (in Tullahoma). There's lots more to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Franklin on Foot, look for gifts at Hatch Show Print, and see the interesting displays at Lane Motor Museum.

Kentucky’s largest city, Louisville, is best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Jefferson Memorial Forest and Barton Distillery. Get some cultural insight at Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea and My Old Kentucky Home. Change things up with these side-trips from Louisville: Salato Wildlife Education Center (in Frankfort) and Willett Distilling Company (in Bardstown). Amissville is an unincorporated community in Rappahannock County in the U.S. On the 20th (Fri), learn about winemaking at Desert Rose Ranch & Winery, learn about winemaking at Rappahannock Cellars, and then brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Copper Fox Distillery. On the next day, tour the pleasant surroundings at Luray Hawksbill Greenway and then whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.
