For most visitors to this part of the world, the wild part of Alaska starts at Seward, a small port city that takes advantage of the region's natural beauty.
Step out of Seward with an excursion to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park--about 32 minutes away. On the 13th (Fri), spend an adventurous day with a kayaking and canoeing tour. Spend the 15th (Sun) exploring nature at Kenai Fjords National Park. There's lots more to do: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Alaska SeaLife Center, and contemplate the waterfront views at Resurrection Bay.

Juneau
