You'll gain 10 hours traveling from Brussels to Ketchikan due to the time zone difference. Do a combination of ferry and flight from Ketchikan to Juneau in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. In July, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) so you can travel to Sitka.

The City and Borough of Sitka, formerly New Archangel while under Russian rule (; or, t ''''), is a unified city-borough located on Baranof Island and the southern half of Chichagof Island in the Alexander Archipelago of the Pacific Ocean (part of the Alaska Panhandle), in the U.S. Start off your visit on the 17th (Tue): identify plant and animal life at Alaska Raptor Center and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Sitka National Historic Park/Totem Park.

Getting from Juneau to Sitka by flight takes about 2 hours. Other options: ride a ferry. Expect a daytime high around 18°C in July, and nighttime lows around 13°C. You will have some time to spend on the 18th (Wed) before leaving for Seward.

For most visitors to this part of the world, the wild part of Alaska starts at Seward, a small port city that takes advantage of the region's natural beauty.
Get outdoors at Kenai Fjords National Park and Exit Glacier. On the 20th (Fri), spend an adventurous day with a kayaking and canoeing tour. Next up on the itinerary: get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, take an unforgettable tour with a helicopter tour, and get your bearings at Seward Community Library & Museum.

You can do a combination of flight and bus from Sitka to Seward in 7 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight, taxi, and bus; or do a combination of ferry and bus. In July in Seward, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 11°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sun) early enough to go by car to Anchorage.

Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
Visiting Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center will get you outdoors. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Anchorage Museum, steep yourself in history at Oscar Anderson House Museum, meet the residents at Alaska Zoo, and get engrossed in the history at Alaska Aviation Museum.

Drive from Seward to Anchorage in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and car. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Seward in July: highs in Anchorage hover around 24°C, while lows dip to 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
