A vibrant resort town, South Padre Island sits on a barrier island of the same name, located just off the Texas Gulf Coast.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Sat): admire the majestic nature at Isla Blanca Park and then identify plant and animal life at Sea Turtle, Inc.. On your second day here, visit a coastal fixture at Port Isabel Lighthouse, identify plant and animal life at South Padre Island Dolphin Research & Sea Life Nature Center, and then see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour.

Kick off your visit on the 25th (Mon): take in the dramatic scenery at Water Wall, do a tasting at Haak Vineyards & Winery Inc, and then engage your brain at Houston Museum of Natural Science. Keep things going the next day: explore the world behind art at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, then stroll through Cockrell Butterfly Center, and then witness the site of a historic battle at San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site.

One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Get some cultural insight at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza and Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Your inner history buff will appreciate Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District and Thistle Hill.
