For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Beach at Daytona Beach and World of Disney. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Walt Disney World Resort and Magic Kingdom Park. Get out of town with these interesting Orlando side-trips: Cocoa Beach (in Cocoa Beach), Daytona International Speedway (in Daytona Beach) and Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum (in Ponce Inlet). Pack the 16th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 17th (Mon) at Universal Orlando Resort.
