Get outdoors at Carpinteria State Beach and Santa Monica Beach. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Bart's Books and Seaside Gardens. Get out of town with these interesting Los Angeles side-trips: Oxnard Beach Park (in Oxnard), Santa Monica (Montana Avenue, Santa Monica Farmers Market, & more) and Ventura (Ventura Harbor Village & VOM FASS Ventura).
