In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Shangri La and U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii. Relax by the water at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve and Ala Moana Beach Park. Take a break from Honolulu with a short trip to Waimea Bay in Haleiwa, about 54 minutes away.
