For most visitors to this part of the world, the wild part of Alaska starts at Seward, a small port city that takes advantage of the region's natural beauty.
Step out of Seward with an excursion to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park--about 32 minutes away. Spend the 20th (Mon) exploring nature at Kenai Fjords National Park. On the 21st (Tue), spend an adventurous day with a kayaking and canoeing tour. There's lots more to do: get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, explore the activities along Resurrection Bay, and admire nature's wide array of creatures at Alaska SeaLife Center.

You can take a bus from Denali National Park and Preserve to Seward in 8.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and bus; or take a train. Plan for much hotter temperatures traveling from Denali National Park and Preserve in November, with highs in Seward at 34°F and lows at 26°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) so you can drive to Anchorage.
