Santa Clara, officially the City of Santa Clara, is a city in Santa Clara County, California, named after the Spanish mission that was established there in 1777. Venture out of the city with trips to Muir Woods National Monument (in Mill Valley), Carmel (Point Lobos State Reserve, Seventeen Mile Drive, & more) and Monterey (Old Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, & more). There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Pacific Grove Oceanview Boulevard and stroll through Mission Santa Clara de Asis.

If you are flying in from Japan, the closest major airports are San Francisco International Airport, Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport and Metropolitan Oakland International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 21°C in November, and nighttime lows around 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
