Fort Lauderdale

Known as the "Venice of America" because of its extensive network of navigable waterways, Fort Lauderdale welcomes over 10 million annual visitors, most of them attracted by the city's popular beaches and marinas.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Lincoln Road and Art Deco Historic District. Relax by the water at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park and Fort Lauderdale Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fort Lauderdale: Everglades National Park (Shark Valley & Anhinga Trail), Miami (Speed Boats Tours & Bayside Marketplace) and South Beach (in Miami Beach). Spend the 20th (Sun) exploring nature at Everglades National Park. There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Loggerhead Marinelife Center and enjoy the sand and surf at Las Olas Beach.

In May, daily temperatures in Fort Lauderdale can reach 86°F, while at night they dip to 74°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
