  • It is what it is. Again a pricey day out, but not bad. 100 buck for a family of 4 to get in, includes gondola ride. 6.50 for a beer, 15 to 20 for a meal. You walk across a bridge, it's pretty high up,...  more »
  • Absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking views! Wear comfortable walking shoes & drink water. It was windy when we went & you could feel it when walking across the bridge but I highly recommend. And don't f...  more »

  • Lots to do and experience at this site. You can be adventurous and ride the gondolas across the gorge and over the Arkansas River below. Then if you are really want an adrenalin rush, you can zip-line back across at incredible speeds and the stop is well..... lets just say abrupt. Now if you don't want to zip back, but still want a rush, you could choose to swing-out over the gorge edge with the 1000+ foot drop, which will probably get your blood flowing, among other things. Our choice was to meander back, walking on the suspension bridge. That too was an adventure, as you could see through spaces between the deck boards and missing knot holes to the the river and RR tracks below. It really makes for an enjoyable day and you'll have some spectacular scenery as a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed.
  • This was the highlight to my trip to Colorado. Bridge over the Arkansas river is absolutely breathtaking. There is a gondola that you can ride to the opposite side. You are able to zip line as well. We just walked back through the bridge. The winds are incredible and the bridge sways and it just feels so amazing. It was freezing and we went at the end of the day on the last gondola ride. Just magical. Need to visit again.
  • Great place to see. Walk the bridge and take the train. I would have rated at 10 if they would have put it back to how it was before the fire. There was so much more to do while there! I have brought my kids back twice since the fire from Ohio and they still enjoy it. Walking across this bridge is very very exciting! You can take a picture with your state flag while you're on the bridge too. All 50 are displayed.
  • You won't regret stopping in at the Royal Gorge if you're in the Colorado Springs area. The entrance fee includes riding the gondola across the gorge as well as a couple of other things. The bridge swings on windy days and offers a splendid view of the Arkansas River one thousand feet below. My brothers loved the sky coaster-- an exhilarating drop swing out across the gorge.
