Falls Park on the Reedy, Greenville

4.9
Built on reclaimed land from textile mills, Falls Park on the Reedy is home to the Upstate Shakespeare Festival. Enter the park's pedestrian bridge from Main Street in the West End District, where you'll also find the visitor center and restaurants. The first point of interest is the large bronze sculpture by Bryan Hunt next to the entrance. A footpath crosses over the cascades and the remaining wall of a 1776 grist mill. • Very beautiful and clean park. The grounds and the landscaping are very well maintained. A perfect place to take a walk, jog or just relax and enjoy the sights and sounds. There are trails that go close to the water or you can stroll high above it all on a modern pedestrian bridge that crosses over the water just in front of the falls. Plenty of places for beautiful outdoor photography. Pets are welcomed as well. The area is surrounded by great places to eat and shop.
  • Great, clean and open park. The only downfall to the park is the less than acceptable water bacteria. It's absolutely gorgeous with all the plants and grass, old stone, open areas and very dog friendly. I have been visiting the park all my life and every year it becomes more useful. It is apparently also fantastic if you play Pokemon or want to see a theater show. Explore the bridge and hop across the rocks. Definitely a perfect place to take the whole family, a nice date, or your favorite four legged friend.
  • First time going to Greenville and I absolutely loved it!!!! The park was extremely nice and very clean. Went there to take photos of a marriage proposal and I do not think he could have chosen a better place to do it at. The bridge gives you a wonderful view of the waterfall. I must say that bridge is very sturdy as well. You can also walk down to the bottom of the waterfall to get a better view. It also has nice dinning places all around in case you get hungry. Can not wait to go back when the weather warms up a little!!!
  • SO FUN! Great for all ages. We just went here for the day to walk around d and check it out; we ended up spending 3 hours there! There were nice benches and swings to sit and relax. Could definitely bring Eno and hammock. Nice place for picnic. Restaurants close by.
  • My wife and I went on a date here and love it! She went to school in the area so she we very familiar with it. There are two waterfalls to view and plenty of space to walk. There is also a walking bridge. It looks like couples like to get married here and there are occasionally events held here. If you want some fresh air, this is great. There are also two coffee shops, a bistro, and some other shops right by it. All within easy walking distance.
