  • This was an unexpected pleasure. We had limited time in the museum due to time constraints but REALLY enjoyed it. All the exhibits were well done. I would definitely come back.  more »

  • I absolutely loved it here and the Death By Natural Causes exhibit was phenomenal! It had so many cool facts and scary things in there! I loved learning about mankind's history, discoveries, and demise. 💘 The Message in a Bottle exhibit was also chilling. Some were sweet some were spooky. Some were pretty funny admittedly. I hope to go again soon enough.
  • I love coming here. This place has to be one of my favorite places to come to in Houston. From the dinosaurs to the planetarium, if you ever need something to do with your family or even by yourself, you will be walking out of there happy. I would recommend visiting the butterfly exhibit it's pretty seeing all the butterflies and the little waterfall at the end.
  • Wow. How amazing is this museum? Let me say it is simply breath taking. There are 4 levels of exhibits and each one has something surprising. We went in using the Houston city passes Which got us into only the permanent exhibits. The dinosaurs on the main level was personally my favorite, and then on the 3rd level are the Travelling portions and the Egypt and Americas exhibits. On our first trip we spent about 2.5 hours here. Which would have been longer if the 2nd level wasn't closed for a special event. As amazing as this museum is, I will now get into some of the not horrible things but not perfect either. You can see quite a bit of everything. But getting into travelling exhibits are $15 extra per person and even with a membership you would still pay $5 per person. Another thing make sure you wear some very comfortable shoes as there isn't anywhere really to sit down. Benches here and there but on the weekends after about noon will be almost impossible to get a spot. There is a McDonald's inside on the main level if you're worried about food. Oh and the gift store has amazing things to offer. Some stuff can be pretty pricey there just be prepared to tell your children no often. Overall good fun and very informative.
  • The museum is a cozy interactive space that I really enjoyed. The Cabinets of Curiosity (or something) was really fun! My date and I seriously went and opened every single one that could be opened. There's also a section of wildlife animals of Houston I believe and that section was beautifully presented. The area transcends from day to night, so some animals you can clearly see at night time and some only during the day!! How cool is that!?
  • As a local houstonian who has visited this museum for 25 years, it is great to see that they continue to put the contributions from the local community and the money from ticket purchases to good use. The recent expansion in the 5 years has been an amazing addition to the long-standing exhibits. My children loved the dinosaur exhibits and the habitat exhibits on the third floor. There's so much to do at this Museum, it really does take more than one day to get the full experience. Because it's so big, it almost never feels crowded. Having a McDonald's inside is a benefit for when your kids get the munchies. If you live in the area, it is definitely recommended to purchase family membership for the year. It reduces the price parking in the garage from $20 to $5 and you will get to enjoy the different exhibits year-round. You will also get a discount on the special exhibits such as the Butterfly habitat. Definitely consider checking out the Museum of Natural Science the next time you and your family have a day off. You will not regret it.
