  • I cannot say enough about the Awesome time myself and our Gang of Missourians had at the Ranch. From the minute we got there I felt at home. The Wranglers who lead us through the pastures, forest, mountains, and during our cattle drive were excellent “Cowgirls”. The passion and knowledge they each had of the land and of the horses we rode made it very personal. The meals, afternoon appetizers, and staff who would cater to your specific needs were always accommodating. Once there take the opportunity to look up at night, the amount of Gods Stars and Constellation are unbelievable! I cannot wait till August 2018….
  • Hands down one of the best family vacations we've ever had! We took our two kids (7 & 10) here in August 2017, and met several family members there. The personal attention by the staff, the professionalism and expertise of the wranglers, the accommodations, the food -- everything was even better than we expected, and we expected it to be excellent based on the reviews of family members who'd gone the year before. Our kids were independent and in horsie heaven. They even got to bottle feed the calves, tie dye shirts, tube down the river, and square dance while we could ride, read, relax, fly fish, hike, and visit. Truly, we had the most wonderful time, and can't wait to return for longer in 2018.
  • This was our third time at the ranch. We love it. Our room was small but perfectly adequate, cozy and comfortable. The food is great, breakfast made to order, lunch and dinner served family style with alternative choices available. The riding opportunities are unparalleled. Various terrain for all levels of riders and spectacular scenery everywhere you look. Instruction is available and our riding has improved every year. When we "settle accounts" at the end of the week we always say the same thing, "worth every penny."
  • I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my recent vacation at Laramie River Dude Ranch. What stood out to me was Bill and Krista's commitment to ensuring a fun and safe riding experience for all. There was a very thorough orientation ahead of our first ride in which Bill covered the basics of horsemanship. My family and I were all grateful for his down-to-earth delivery of horse riding best practices, and even myself a nervous New Yorker, with little to no riding experience, felt confident atop my horse Skip. The scenery, the food, the rustic comfort of the lodge were also outstanding, as was our wrangler Elli. 5 stars all-around ... I can't wait to go back!
  • We have visited Laramie River Ranch every year for the past 13 summers and we’re looking forward to next year already. Many of the guests each week are repeats which speaks to the attentive care everyone gets at LRR. We love fly fishing the Laramie River right outside our cabin and it’s easy to combine fly-fishing and riding if you want to do both. You can fish in the morning, then meet family for lunch and go on a horseback ride in the afternoon. There is a beginning fly fishing instruction class offered a couple times a week for guests who are just starting, or want to improve their fly casting. Then you can go out on the river and try your luck with the fish. If the fish aren’t biting on the Laramie, it’s easy to go over to the Hohnholz Lakes and fly fish for trout from the bank. The cabins and rooms are very cozy and comfortable. It’s so nice to come back after a day hiking up and down the river to a hot shower and relaxing conversation with other guests during happy hour. The family style meals are great and the desserts are the best! Bill and Krista are around every day to make sure everything runs smoothly, and the staff goes out of their way to make sure we have everything we could want. If you’re looking for a great family vacation, with the option to do some fly fishing along with horseback riding, we think Laramie River Ranch is the perfect place.
