High Roller, Las Vegas

4.5
#5 of 663 in Things to do in Las Vegas
Towering over 158 m (520 ft) above the Las Vegas Strip stands High Roller. As one of the world’s tallest observation wheels, it offers one of the most impressive views of the city. A ride in one of the air-conditioned pods takes around 30 minutes and is accompanied by audio commentary. You also have the opportunity to include an open bar inside your cabin. Rides during the day are considerably cheaper. However, riding at night is very popular as passengers can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the city lights. My boyfriend and I went on the high roller after Madeon played at the Brooklyn Bowl! And we got the whole ball to ourselves so it was very romantic, we also had our portable speaker so we were blastin...  more »

Must do! The High Roller was a highlight of the evening. I recommend going at night when you can watch the Bellagio fountains. Absolutely gorgeous!  more »

This is pretty cool. It moves very slowly and gives you great views of Las Vegas. We were lucky enough to get a seat with a bar in it so we enjoyed some good drinks while there. I've now down the high roller twice. Once during the day and once during the night. Very cool and I highly recommend this to anyone. More cities need these rides. Very cool and it's located in a great area (the Linq) outdoor mall.

Absolutely recommend this ride on the strip. It was extremely fun as me and 3 others got into the open bar pod which was an incredible deal. I believe it was only ~$35 which included top shelf liquor, beers, etc... Not sure what one person who reviewed previously was talking about having time for only 1 drink. Between shots and mixed drinks, I was able to get thru 10 total plus 1 to go as the ride stopped. It was incredibly fun. I'm assuming our time here was better as we went during the week and during the day which is probably the least busy. We had maybe 20 ppl total in our car. Probably the best bang for your buck in Vegas if u wanna drink.

We had the open bar option which was nice but I felt the capsule was a touch too crowded to allow everyone to truly enjoy themselves. The bartender was fun and the views were great, so that made up for it.

Best time to do this is at night cause then you get a great view of the whole of the Strip at Vegas. Be sure check with your hotel for coupons. It was a wonderful experience you barely feel any movements, they have a photo session which you pay for if interested.

I have been on the High Roller twice and both times were a blast. I would warn against going during any drinking event though, there are no restrooms on the ride, and it can become very uncomfortable for almost 30 minutes! Great views all around. I have only been up at night, may try to go during the day next time.
