Bayfront Park, Miami

4.3
#3 of 22 in Parks in Miami
An urban waterfront site, Bayfront Park covers 13 hectares (32 acres) of downtown Miami. The park features a beach area, rock garden, waterfalls, monuments, sculptures, and an amphitheater. Famed sculptor Isamu Noguchi designed the park in 1980 and included three of his sculptures: the Slide Mantra, the Challenger Memorial, and the Light Tower. Amble along the boardwalk for views of the waterfront, or explore the paths within the park for close-up views of Noguchi's sculptures. Find the plaque marking the spot where Franklin D. Roosevelt avoided a possible assassination attempt in 1933, which claimed the life of Chicago's mayor, Anton Cermak. • Nice place with lots of stores. Most nights some live music as well. Enough to do for all against, like bus/ boat -tours. But like the rest of Miami, most stores are pretty expensive. The park its self was occupied by ultra music festival.
  • I had lot's of fun 2018 new year's eve here. the place is huge and have long distances to lay your eyes upon, sea, skylines. really nice. The fireworks on this spot lasted something like 12 minutes and were beautiful from beginning to end. I'll return here another day during the day to enjoy some sunlight on the grass fields as there are plenty of it to enjoy the day!
  • Really liked the place. Visited there during Miami Marathon. Huge arrangement, with a big stage. The park is pretty big and just by the side of the ocean bay. There is a good walking trail, children's play area and sitting place. A big yacht is permanently anchored at one place. One can host exhibitions or parties inside it. The park is connected with the Bayside market at one end. The city tour bus also leaves from here. Have restroom towards the market end.
  • Very nice park. A small amount of homeless people roaming but none bothered me. I do wish they would have the fountain in good order again.
  • It's a very nice little park to visit, its not very big but what's really to love about it is the water next to the park. There's a ledge you can sit by and sit next to thee ocean water. There's a lot of events that go on around here as well and could always be something to do all the time with those events.
