  • We went to a performance at the Rhyman. I’m not a country music fan but was with a group of people who are. The show was fun and it’s clear the entertainers love what they do. There was a variety of a...  more »

  • Absolutely love this place. Have been many times & hope to return many more. Enjoy seeing new & upcoming performers, almost as much as the the ones I know & love. Another thing I love about the Opry is how friendly everyone is from the staff to other members of the audience. The last time I was there was at the generosity of local radio station W98.6, very unexpectedly while at work one afternoon I checked my voicemail to find I had won tickets to the Opry for that evening. Called a friend & planned to leave as soon as I got off. I work customer service & unfortunately was delayed getting off on time & live about 80 miles away, the message left telling me I won also told me what time the show started & that I needed to pick up my tickets by about 45 min prior to the show, so as soon as I could I called the Opry to see if we could pick them up later but the phone in the ticket office was busy. Took a shot & called the gift shop #, the lady I spoke to couldn't have been nicer, she told me it was no problem she'd go over & let them know we were coming & to please drive safely. There really are angels among us. When we got there we kinda expected to be told sorry we gave your tickets away, but no they were waiting for us. The usher walked us right to our seats at the very back, second to the last row to be exact. The couple sitting at the end of the row greeted us with a smile & joked we saved your seats. Before long the people in the row behind us & the couple beside us were like family we were all singing along & having a blast. Even being in the very back we had a great view of the stage. The only bad thing was that it had to come to an end. Thanks W98.6 & The Grand Old Opry for a wonderful time provided in the best southern manner possible.
  • A great place to visit. a very convenient location with plenty of shopping and dining options close by.. bring a camera this place is filled with history. Usually very busy and with parking requires a bit of walking. I would recommend getting there early that might help avoid crowds and grab a bite to eat next door at the rainforest Cafe.
  • Superb. Our tour guide, other than Blake Shelton via video, was a delightful older woman whose husband had been one of the musicians for the G.O.O. There isn't much that's off limits. Super interesting tidbits. Loved seeing the dressing rooms, the mailboxes, the entrance where the country singers come in. How humble they are kept. Next visit will include a show.
  • Very nice venue. Felt very close to the stage. Only gripe was parking. We went when it wasn't very crowded and still had a hard time finding a spot. There wasn't a parking structure so we had to walk a good while in the rain to get inside. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather when you go.
  • What can I say about the Grand old Opry! it's country music at its best , we didn't have the best seats, but it was still a great show, I would highly recommend coming to see a show if you're in the neighborhood, and a music fan at all, its a classic, time-honored tradition! With great country music artists of many varieties, from bluegrass to contemporary to gospel! Loved it!
