Adjacent to the New York City Public Library, the park's expansive lawn, decorated with monumental sculptures and stately fountains, provides a place to sit and escape the bustling city. Feel like a kid again with a ride on the Heritage Carousel, or test your luck with a game of chess against a local. It's not very big but has a lot to offer. On the South 40th street side there's a small carousel. In winter the entrance to the ice skating rink is here. There's a bar/cafe with porch swings. On the n...  more »

In this little park there are games available to all: I saw ping pong, chess, checkers, and more. If you have patience you sit and wait for someone to challenge, or the opposite. If you are a fan of these games I suggest you allow at least a few hours so I could enjoy free ...

This park is one of the best parks in Manhattan. There are so many activities to do every single day for kids and adults. I took my kids last week and it was so cool being able to experience arts and crafts, and free movie screenings. I also liked hearing different tunes on the piano that was provided. Am very impressed with beginner language classes available in 3 different languages : Brazilian Portuguese, French and Italian.

Always have fun when I come here! Right next to the beautiful library. The events are great! Especially at Christmas when they have the ice skating and the Christmas shops! Even on a day where there is no events, Bryant park is a nice little place to have lunch or just enjoy a little peace in the city with a good book.

This is a fabulous park! It is a privately owned park (who knew?) with lovely green space. It is the perfect place to grab a dinner to go and eat outside. Whole Foods is right across the street, and there is a great restaurant at the park called "The Porch, sponsored by Southwest Airlines." The grounds are clean, there are plenty of chairs. There is even a carousel for the kids. We visited NYC for 5 nights and we had dinner here each night.

I love this small park. It's kind of a precious Jewell in the midst of a concrete jungle. A place where you can make a stop and take a deep breath an enjoy a cup of coffee or a juice. It's beautifully modified according to each season during the year. Conveniently situated next to the New York Public Library. I get relaxed there (in the park) after a long time studying in the library.

This park is just lovely. Small and walkable, with markets and outdoor seating as well as outdoor restaurants. It's a great place to go whether you live here or are visiting. Movies, music, and live performances happen all summer. Even in the winter, there's a small retail village and ice skating.
