  • We went to Flying Fish Bar and Grill in Barefoot Landing. The food is plentiful and delicious. The menu is only on one side. The price range starts around $15.00 and up for a meal. If you are going out to dinner on Friday it's very crowded. We were celebrating a birthday with a group of 10. We had to wait at least 45 minutes. I enjoyed dinner. I'll go again if I'm every back in this area.
  • Cool place. Lot's of small gift stores, some decent restaurants, and fun for kids. Great spot to walk around during the evening. Can get ridiculously hot during the day —the place gets not breeze. Seems to change a bit every year, adding cool activities for kids, etc., though the core always remains the same. Easy parking, and Greta time —love this spot.
  • Adorable shopping village over water. Plenty of unique shops and restaurants. The water is home to tons of turtles and fish who are very social and loves to be fed. If you are lucky you can even spot one of the resident wild alligators....look close, sometimes only their eyes pop up. House of Blues, Alabama Theater...both terrific! I love this place and the shopping area is a little quieter than similar places.
  • It's a love/dislike thing. What I love is great dining options, all priced options too. I love a lot of the kitschy stores, and the walkways over the ponds. I also love that it's right around the corner for me as a full-time resident. What I have come to dislije is change. Some of my favorite restaurants have left little local art shop has been squeezed out--- and more chain restaurants are coming in. I appreciate that it means they'll be more options along the Intercoastal Waterway, however I dislike that the easy connection to go from golf cart from one parking lot to the other is forever removed. I always offer caution to anyone driving in the Barefoot Landing parking lots... They are not very well lined for clarity of how they Bend and Trail off in different directions in certain areas. It is very easy for people to not see you because they are very focused on " where the heck am I going?" It is after all a destination mostly meant for tourist. And as such a gets very very very crowded in the summer. There's also the motorcycle week that takes over a good portion of the parking lot. But overall it has a lot to offer for almost everyone.
  • I absolutely love going to Barefoot Landing. So much to do. So much to see. Lots of fantastic food options too! Plenty of activities to choose from including Alligator Adventure and the House of Blues! Definitely recommend this spot for anyone on vacation, or if youre just passing through the area!
