Petco Park, San Diego

4.7
Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres call Petco Park home. The stadium is different from most because of its grassy, sloped area above the outfield fence, called Park at the Park. During games, fans can watch games from here for a low price. At other times, you can walk through this area and see the stadium for free. Note the Indian sandstone and stucco, white painted steel, and dark blue seats; this design intentionally represents the colors of San Diego, with its sandy beaches, white sails on boats, and blue ocean. Take a guided tour of the ballpark to see usually off-limits areas, such as the dugout and pressroom. The grandstands provide superb views of the city's skyline, bay, and Balboa Park. A visit to Petco Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our San Diego day trip planning app to plot your vacation.

  • Nice new stadium. Easy to find $20 valet parking nearby. Many craft beers and lots of fine food places.  more »
  • Great tour...Mike Ray was a knowledgeable and funny guide (also was selling the tickets). Not a stressful walk around the park. The day before, of, and after home games, you don't get to go in the vis...  more »
  • Is the baseball stadium that hosts the meetings of the home team. It's a great show watching a live game of the San Diego Padres.

  • Americas best ballpark in Americas finest city. Our family has been season ticket owners since the Padres inaugural year of 1969. I love this team and this organization. There isn’t a bad view inside this stadium either. Food/drink selections change every year to keep the ballpark feeling fresh. Our seats in sect J, in my opinion, are best in house. The franchise has an extremely bright future, watch out for SD’s run for its first world championship coming soon.
  • Always love coming to the best ball park in America's Finest City. Every seat is a great seat. If you want to see the entire stadium you can pick up a Park in the Park ticket and there are amazing vantage points throughout the stadium for you to get a unique view. Not only is the stadium awesome but the food and craft beer is second to none.
  • This is a beautiful ballpark, right in downtown San Diego. They incorporated some of the old buildings into the design. There are a ton of vendors here, most of them local San Diego places, which is great as you can get a taste of a lot of places in one stop. Also a ton of craft beers. A fun place to go for a game or just to hang out.
  • I'm not too wild about the parking situation but I'm sure it could be a lot worse! Staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. You pay premium for food and drinks but it's all part of fun, I guess. The bathroom is usually kept clean. You get a beautiful view of downtown San Diego. A great place to bring people visiting from out of town.
  • The tour here is amazing. We had such a good time touring the facility. I couldn't believe some of the old buildings they incorporated into the ballpark from the existing infrastructure. It was neat getting to sit in the dugout and press box.
