  • Very nice. They have a cafe and you don't need to pay admission I order to eat there. I had the Chinese chicken salad. It may sound typical but it was so good! The museum itself is informative and pleasurable to visit.
  • It was a wonderful experience. Actually, I am Asian, but I did not have a chance to experience other cultures other than South Korea. I have found many things in common here. And the museum is neatly organized as a whole. Everyone is a place worth visiting.
  • I'm usually not too big on art museums but this place was really cool. The old sculptures were fascinating to look at. The details were just amazing. The museum staff were nice and it was nice and quiet inside.
  • What a gem for San Francisco! The museum not only has great treasures and exhibitions, the social media outreach and their special events are excellent. I have really enjoyed the Ikebana workshop, cooking demos, and tea and talks they have held. Relaxing, amusing, inspiring. You can sip tea and have lunch at their nice cafeteria too.
  • I always enjoy a good museum and the gift shop was nice though I didn't see anything that really caught my eye. I wish they sold more jewelry inspired by the art. They are getting ready for a Korea exhibit and we ran into a cooking demonstration. The art was on 3 levels and walking through it gives a good overview of the history of many cultures. It is nice to have them point out that the idea of Asia as a continent is really strange. It's a rather arbitrary and artificial divide by historians and geographers when Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East are actually connected. And between Asia and Europe especially that divide is a very vague border space rather then a definite line. For the $15 General admission you have a nice retreat from the SF. The cafe looked nice and it was a quiet Sunday when I visited.
