  • I had a wonderful time, and I'm never going back. Steamboat is an exclusive resort that attracts tons of people. The resort exploits this in a shameless money grab. Every aspect of this resort oozes greed. Pros: The terrain is great. There's a ton of acreage, so lift lines are short once you escape the base area. Good food Cons: It was probably an isolated incident but the person at the ticket window seemed to be angry at my existence. No idea why, I shrugged it off as someone just having a bad day. Cost. Period. It's just not worth it. I've spent $100 less for better days of riding. Don't get me wrong- Christmas Tree bowl is awesome, but compared to other mountains in CO, there's nothing special about it. There is nothing here, terrain, housing, food, atmosphere, or anything else that comes close to justifying the price points. So thank you Steamboat Resort. I really did have a great time. But I'll stick to mountains in Summit County that have better terrain and better vibes.
  • Fantastic place to ski, one of the most beautiful ski areas in Colorado! Perfect for all skill levels. One of the best ways down for beginners is an access road that switches back and forth all the way down the mountain for a very slow controlled descent. For those more experienced there is every level of challenge you could want. The town of Steamboat Springs is a must see also as it has tons of small unique restaurants and stores. Don't miss the hot springs located all around town and in the summer there are some waterfalls you can hike to. The condos are very nice also and makes ski in ski out perfect.
  • Mammoth is our "home" mountain in California, so it's always nice to get out into the Rockies. Steamboat Springs is well worth the trip. Fantastic conditions. Huge mountain with a ton to explore (especially when the snow is good). Great vibe from the staff. I will note that it's a bit of a schlep from Denver (four-hour drive), which becomes quite noticeable when it's time to head back to the airport.
  • Wow! What an experience! This was the most beautiful area I have ever been to in the winter time! So many fun trails to ski on! We loved the hot springs nearby; a nice muscle relief after a long day of skiing. Beautiful town, lots of great lodging and shopping options. Beautiful community!
  • I enjoyed my time at Steamboat very much. I found the lay out of the resort to be great, the lift system is well connected allowing for easy access to the whole mountain. There is great terrain for every ability level. The facilities were well maintained and modern. All of the staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Steamboat is a top choice for a ski or snowboard trip in my opinion.
