  • Great free place to stop if you're in the area. There are three stories of artwork, including the artist's childhood work. There is also a video of his life and legacy. We took our kids and they had a scavenger hunt for the kids to do.
  • Great museum. The pictures are amazing They made it fun for our young school aged children also.
  • This is one of the most amazing places to go and experience! If you like art & love nature you have to go see this muesum!
  • Friendly staff and enjoyable to walk around and see all the paintings. I enjoy the series America the Beautiful. And it's free!
  • This is a great center if youre in to Redlin's art, no doubt. I stopped by in a hurry, since I was leaving town trying to beat a snow storm, and was told that the 2nd floor is the best place to tour if I wanted to see a basic "summary" of Redlin's work. I found I enjoyed more of his early art better than when he got into purely painting landscapes, and scenes of American living. Unfortunately there were barely any displays of his earlier works on the 2nd floor, maybe there aren't very many, I'm not so sure. Anyhow, the presentation of Redlin's art, from what I saw, was elegant. You can tell whoever designed the building and set the art pieces really cared about how the artwork would be presented, and knew the best way to frame Redlin's work in order to bring out the best in them. There is a gift shop, and the receptionist at the front desk was knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant. The outside of the building is beautiful as well, there couldnt have been a more perfect setting for this place. Even in the middle of winter it's outdoor landscapes had appeal. I wasn't expecting much from a free-to-visit art center in the middle of South Dakota, but my expectations were met and then exceeded. I will have to visit again during nicer weather and check out the art on the other floors.
