Gain a new perspective of the forest on top of Yokahu Observation Tower, a cylindrical viewing tower located in El Yunque National Forest. Climb the 100 steps to the viewing platform at the top of the building to get sweeping views of the trees and hills of the impressive natural surroundings. Constructed in 1963, the tower has a twin elsewhere in the forest, though at a higher elevation and deeper into the park, the second is harder to access and frequently obscured by clouds. Plan my El Yunque National Forest trip by asking Inspirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

  • Really nice, must do. Get up the tower. Took me 3.5 minutes to get to the top and I'm not the fittest guy, but absolutely gorgeous.

  • easy to access. there is a parking lot right next to the tower. walking up with tower provides you with the most beautiful views of the rainforest. it takes about 3 minutes to walk straight up to the top but definitely peak put of all the view points as you walk up. if you're like me, you're scared of heights but just don't stand close to the edge and it'll be worth it! bonus for the spooky people out there - it's rumored to be haunted 👻
  • Great view from the top. Not too many steps. Included with paid entrance to El Yunque ($2 per car). Worth climbing. Parking is right next to the tower.
