Those interested in Puerto Rico's ancient indigenous history should not miss Centro Ceremonial Indígena Tibes, one of the most important archaeological excavation sites in the Caribbean. A hurricane in 1975 washed away some top soil, revealing an abundance of pre-Taino, Taino, and Igneri artifacts. Visit the center and view these objects, alongside the ruins and remnants. The museum also offers detailed and extensive information about these civilizations dating back to 25 CE. • Very cool archeological site. History and artifacts are very interesting. Well worth the couple of dollars to get in with the large mound areas you get to walk around and the clean restrooms and water fountain.
  • Very nice place. Definitely need more visitors to help the place come up a little bit but the place is great as it is. Very nice people and quiet place to visit study or just relax. Very much worth the drive.
