  • Such a hidden gem in the mountains and a must visit! I only leave reviews when I am truly impressed (or the other way around) so I have to say something about it as I think this was a great highlight....  more »
  • We're in PR for a five weeks, and on our "to do" list is to visit a coffee plantation. Alas, COVID makes this very difficult! We called several places and they were not open to tours, but I'm so...  more »
  • Stayed Last week April-2019; The views, setting, rooms, and coffee tour are all beautiful. Breakfast was exceptional. My wife and I will start to make this part of our routine when we visit the island. Definitely book a stay but look to arrive at dusk as the roads are windy but also because the views are most beautiful at dusk or dawn with the gentle soft sun of those hours.
  • Charming place with a great coffee tour! We arrived at the hacienda around 11am and were greeted by the owner Kurt (who migrated to the states from Germany and made his way to puerto rico where he's been living for almost 50 years). Kurt led us to the welcome area where we were given cafe colado with pastries. Kurt began to tell us of the rich history behind the invent of coffee. He has extensive historical knowledge. It was a great lecture. Next, we made out way out to the walking tour. Kurt took us around the hacienda, explaining its history, the agriculture (we ate some of the fruit), and even the effects from hurricane maria. Kurt also walked us through the coffee roasting process, which was really cool. Finally, we ended up back at the welcome area where we were blessed with lattes and espressos. Overall, it was truly a great experience. The cost per adult was $20. That included the multiple coffees and pastries, as well as the lecture and walking tour.
