Visit Parque de Bombas, a museum of firefighting and a landmark of the city. Built in 1882, the building served as the first fire station in Puerto Rico, whose firefighters battled some major blazes in the early years. After 108 years of service, it was turned into a museum; today, you can view many relics, items, and artifacts from the station's history. Admire the Moorish Revival style and vibrant red color of the distinctive building, designed for the 1882 Exhibition Trade Fair. • This historic place give you a flash back in time. You will see fire house equipment of that old time, fire vehicles and more.  more »
  • Great history. A landmark you should see in this trip. We stayed in San Juan and took the scenic drive to Ponce. Less than 2 hours and beautiful drive.  more »
  • Looks pretty good after Hurricane Maria. Freshly painted the only nice part of Ponce's central area. Many drug addicts peddling for cash. The church as usual looks beautiful.
  • I always love visiting parque de bombas when I visit my family in Ponce. Very interesting and full of history!
