Tunel de Guajataca, Quebradillas

Visit Tunel de Guajataca--a hidden gem of rich history and beautiful scenery. Walk through the remnants of the national railway built around 1905. The tunnel starts at Playa Guajataca, a beach with fine white sand and swaying palm trees, and leads to the picture perfect Playa Pelicanos. Take pictures of the foaming waves and and colorful sunsets and enjoy the wild, untouched nature. You shouldn't swim at either beach because of the strong currents. Neither beach offers restroom facilities.   • This tunnel was part of the train that was turning the island in ancient times. It has a certain nostalgic touch in addition to great landscape. The tour will take you further west on the beach where the wind and the sea are joined by waves that break the shore. So don't be careless.
