Visit Tunel de Guajataca--a hidden gem of rich history and beautiful scenery. Walk through the remnants of the national railway built around 1905. The tunnel starts at Playa Guajataca, a beach with fine white sand and swaying palm trees, and leads to the picture perfect Playa Pelicanos. Take pictures of the foaming waves and and colorful sunsets and enjoy the wild, untouched nature. You shouldn't swim at either beach because of the strong currents.
