Frankfort is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the seat of Franklin County. Kick off your visit on the 1st (Mon): sample the fine beverages at Buffalo Trace Distillery, then take in the pleasant sights at Kentucky Bourbon Trail, then sample the tasty concoctions at Woodford Reserve Distillery, and finally don't miss a visit to Daniel Boone's Grave.

Atlanta to Frankfort is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In March, Frankfort is little chillier than Atlanta - with highs of 54°F and lows of 33°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
