Ketchikan

Salmon Capital of the World

The narrow city of Ketchikan clings to the bluffs that form Revillagigedo Island's southwestern shore.
On the 5th (Mon), whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks. On the next day, contemplate the long history of Totem Heritage Center, hike along Deer Mountain Trail, then get a new perspective on things with Snorkel Alaska, and finally contemplate the long history of Totem Bight State Historical Park.

Juneau is an unusual state capital in many respects.

Homer

Homer is a city located in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. Start off your visit on the 12th (Mon): look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, enjoy the sand and surf at Homer Spit, and then pause for some photo ops at Seafarer's Memorial. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get engrossed in the history at Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, then paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, and then do a tasting at Bear Creek Winery.
