Albuquerque — 7 nights

Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Get outdoors at Jemez Hot Springs and Tingley Beach. Discover out-of-the-way places like La Luz Trail and Rio Grande Nature Center State Park. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Albuquerque: Sandia Crest Byway (in Sandia Park), Jemez Trail National Scenic Byway (in Jemez Springs) and Grants (La Ventana Natural Arch & El Malpais National Conservation Area). There's still lots to do: sample some tasty brews at Routes Bicycle Tours & Rentals, ride a horse along The Stables at Tamaya, soar above the sights with a balloon tour, and identify plant and animal life at Wildlife West Nature Park.
