Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Get some historical perspective at Albuquerque Old Town and Bandelier National Monument. You'll explore and learn at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque and Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Albuquerque: Santa Fe (Andrew Smith Gallery, Inc., The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, & more). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Albuquerque New Mexico Temple, admire the striking features of Spaceship House, and browse for treasures at Tinkertown Museum.

To plan Albuquerque vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

Use the Route module to find travel options from your starting location to Albuquerque. Expect a daytime high around 91°F in July, and nighttime lows around 67°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Taos.

Many residents have shunned fast-paced city living for Taos's laid-back vibe and blend of Spanish, Native American, and Anglo cultures.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Thu): explore the world behind art at Ghost Ranch, shop like a local with 203 Fine Art, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at San Francisco de Assisi Mission Church, and finally contemplate the long history of Taos Pueblo. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to Taos County Courthouse Murals, look for all kinds of wild species at Philmont Scout Ranch, and then take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.

For maps, more things to do, other places to visit, and tourist information, refer to the Taos trip planner .

Traveling by car from Albuquerque to Taos takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Albuquerque in July, things will get slightly colder in Taos: highs are around 83°F and lows about 52°F. On the 27th (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive back home.
